Counseling Services

Individual Therapy

I offer comprehensive individual therapy services for children, “tweens,” teenagers, and adults. I am deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for individuals of all ages to address their unique emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.

  • Child therapy services are specifically tailored to meet the developmental and emotional requirements of school-aged children, typically between the ages of 6 and 12. Utilizing evidence-based techniques, children are engaged in a playful and age-appropriate manner, creating a comfortable space for them to express their thoughts and feelings. Through a combination of talk therapy, creative activities, and play-based interventions, I assist children in developing coping skills, managing emotions, building self-esteem, and navigating various challenges.

  • Adolescence can be a complex and transformative phase of life, often presenting unique challenges. Teen therapy services aim to support tweens and teenagers aged 13 to 18 as they navigate the complexities of their evolving identities, peer relationships, academic pressures, and emotional well-being. By employing a compassionate and person-centered approach, I encourage open dialogue and active participation to foster self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy decision-making. Together, we address a wide range of issues commonly faced by teenagers, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, academic stress, and social difficulties.

  • Adult therapy services are designed to address the diverse needs and concerns of individuals aged 18 and above. I provide a compassionate and confidential space for adults to explore their emotions, gain insights, and develop effective strategies for personal growth and positive change. I employ various evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and solution-focused therapy, among others. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, trauma, parenting or caregiver issues, or any other mental health concerns, I am here to support you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Family Therapy

I offer comprehensive family therapy services to support and strengthen families through challenges and transitions. I understand that families are complex systems with interconnected dynamics, and am here to help you navigate and improve your family relationships.

  • During family therapy sessions, we facilitate open dialogue, active listening, and effective communication techniques to help family members better understand one another and develop healthier patterns of interaction. We explore family dynamics, roles, and patterns of behavior to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement. Through collaboration and guided interventions, I empower families to build stronger relationships, improve problem-solving skills, and enhance overall family functioning.

  • In my private practice, I believe that strong and healthy family relationships are the foundation for individual well-being and fulfillment. If your family is facing challenges or transitions and you are seeking professional support, I invite you to reach out to us. Together, we can work towards fostering a nurturing and harmonious family environment that promotes resilience, growth, and lasting connections.

I also recognize the importance of cultural sensitivity and strive to create a culturally competent environment that respects and embraces the diversity of families I serve.

Group Therapy & Psycho-Educational Workshops

I offer group therapy and psychoeducational workshops to foster personal growth, enhance self-awareness, and provide support in a collaborative and interactive setting. Group programs are designed to provide a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with others facing similar challenges or seeking personal development. Guided by principles of practicing self-compassion, recognizing the common humanity found in all suffering is a powerful tool.

  • Group therapy is an effective modality that brings individuals together in a supportive and confidential environment to explore shared concerns, gain insights, and develop coping strategies. Groups may be focused on anxiety, depression, new parent adjustment, grief and loss, self-esteem, healthy relationships, mindfulness, and more.

Group therapy offers a unique opportunity for participants to receive support and feedback from both the therapist and other group members. Through engaging in discussions, sharing personal experiences, and practicing new skills, individuals can develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their interpersonal dynamics. Group therapy provides a safe space to explore different perspectives, develop empathy, build social skills, and receive validation and encouragement from others who can relate to their experiences.

  • Psychoeducational workshops are interactive and educational sessions that aim to provide valuable information, tools, and strategies for personal growth and well-being. These workshops cover a wide range of topics, including stress management, emotional intelligence, effective communication, mindfulness practices, self-care, and coping skills for specific challenges.

Psycho-educational workshops combine didactic presentations with experiential exercises and group discussions. Participants can gain practical skills and knowledge that they can apply to their daily lives. These workshops provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for individuals to learn, share insights, and connect with others who may be on similar paths of personal development.
